A voluntary third-party mark from U.S. Pharmacopeia confirming a supplement's identity, potency, and purity.
USP Verified is a voluntary quality program run by U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP), a non-profit standards organization. To carry the mark, a product is tested to confirm it contains the ingredients listed on the label at the stated amounts, does not contain harmful levels of specified contaminants, and is made under good manufacturing practices.
The mark is a check on quality and label accuracy — it says nothing about whether the supplement works or is right for you. Only a small share of products are enrolled, so its absence is not proof of a problem.
